Palingrokerij Kay - Den Oever is a mobile eel smokehouse with a 5-star status. The eel comes from our own catch, IJsselmeer or even from Ireland. For the gourmets there is also smoked salmon and mackerel. During the season, own eel is caught on the Wadden Sea, you can see the traps when you look out to sea at the Monument! Boerderij de Waard is located in the Oostpolder Anna Paulowna in the community of Hollands Kroon. The barn of this farm from 1911 was demolished in 2015 and rebuilt as a B&B. You can enjoy rest and space here, both indoors and outdoors. You can make free use of books, games and shuffleboard in the common area and WiFi throughout the building.

The Grandmother and Motorsmuseum is a museum that exhibits all sorts of grandmother and antique motifs. There are almost 300 engines to visit. In de loop der jaren heeft het gebouw ook gefungeerd als waag, brandweerpost, school, postkantoor, politiebureau en museum.

A yurt is originally a Mongolian nomad tent. This yurt only has an American touch, as it is produced in Colorado. We imported it at the beginning of 2021 and installed the interior ourselves. The yurt is behind a dyke on a meadow next to a farm. From the deck with built-in hot tub you have a wide view of the bulb fields. The yurt is fully equipped. Inside you will find a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom and a separate toilet.

At the beginning of the last century, many flower bulb growers moved to the north of North Holland. Many growers from South Holland came to “De Noord”. This created a need for its own parish church. To cover the start-up costs, voluntary contributions were asked and a church bulb auction was held.

In the village Winkel, central to the head of North Holland, on the provincial road N242 and near the A7 and A9, is the Golf + Country Regthuys located. Kenmerkend aan een Wieringerboerderij is het grote zwarte schuurschot, de rouw- en trouwdeur, de rietenkap voor het schuurdeel en slechts een gedeelte van het voorhuis is pannengedekt. Tijdens de reformatie waren alleen nog protestantse kerken toegestaan. De boerderij werd toen gebruikt als schuilkerk (schuurkerk) door rooms-katholieke kerkgangers tot 1824. Klokgelui was verboden en gezang mocht niet hoorbaar zijn.

Gebouwd in 1933. Bewoond door familie de Groote die er een bakkerij in hadden. In de oorlog heeft het pand onder water gestaan tijdens de inundatie. Dhr de Groote heeft er tijdens de inundatie op zolder gebivakkeerd en er over geschreven op taartdozen welke bewaard zijn in het historische genootschap. In 1968 verkocht aan de familie Pastoor die er 54 jaar plezier gewoond hebben. In 2022 verkocht aan de familie Ruijter die er een praktijk ruimte voor pedicure en massage in gemaakt hebben. En de oude winkeldeur weer in ere hersteld hebben.
