In de top van de voorgevel van deze Wieringerboerderij, gericht aan de Elft, is het bouwjaar 1734 gemetseld. Maar vermoedelijk is de boerderij al uit de 17e eeuw. Dat is aannemelijk vanwege het historische metselwerk op de hoeken. Er is gebruik gemaakt van klezoren, dat is een kwart steen om netjes uit te komen. Bij een klezorenverband verspringen de stenen ten opzichte van elkaar. In de 17de-eeuw gebruikte men vaak een hoekoplossing met klezoren. De acht muurankers zijn verspreid over de gevel in rijen van vier, waarschijnlijk mist er één aan de linkerzijde. Muurankers zijn bedoeld om de balken van een verdiepingsbalklaag aan de gevel te verbinden. Zo werd de gevel beschermd tegen uitknikken. De rouw- en trouwdeur in de voorgevel komt uit in de voorkamer. Op Wieringen was zo een deur niet meer gedecoreerd dan andere deuren, maar ze konden alleen van binnenuit geopend worden. Kenmerkend voor Wieringen is de langgerekte tweevaksschuur met daarin een van de buitenzijde bereikbare hooischuur (grondtas) en wagenstik (wagenschuur), geflankeerd door een smaller, lager deel (uutlid) en een achterhuis (koestal) dat overgaat in een uitbouw van het woongedeelte. De boerderij is een constructie van drie vierkanten. Het dak is zowel gedekt met riet als met pannen. De zesruitsschuifvensters hebben luiken. In de voortuin staat een grote moerbeiboom, dit is oud Wierings gebruik. Archiefstukken tonen aan dat de boerderij oorspronkelijk van familie Snooy was. In 1973 is de ‘boerenbehuizing’ met ondergrond, erf en tuin door de gemeente Wieringen verkocht aan de heer Kooij. Het rijksmonument was toen in slechte onderhoudsstaat, in de stukken wordt hiernaar verwezen als de ‘deplorabele toestand’. Er volgde een grote restauratie aan de boerderij om het terug in oude staat te brengen door architect Kok.
