Restaurant "De Strandtent" offers a cozy atmosphere, friendly service and a beautiful view. Beach entrance Zandloper is the northernmost beach of Julianadorp aan Zee. The beach is formerly known as Ship on the Beach, after the paviljon that was located there at the time. Nowadays, a brand-new paviljon has been built after a fire destroyed the old one. This beach has a guarded beach post, and has a Blue Flag.

Recreation area Zuiderstrand Den Oever near the Zuiderhaven. Booth with bathing water, camper pitches, picnic tables and playground equipment, with views over the Afsluitdijk and the IJsselmeer.

This may be the oldest beach in North Holland, as the sand is more than 100,000 years old. The recreational beach is located on the Amstelmeer in the Kop van Noord-Holland. You can take a break at the cozy Brandend Zand beach bar.

Beach entrance Falga is a quite entrance with a wide and white beach. The souther part of the beach, between pole 4.09 and pole 5, is the nudist beach. You can walk and cycle in the surrounding dune area. In the spring (May) you have a spectacular overview of the blooming bulb fields.

This zoo has about 24 different kind off animals from all over the world. This species include birds and mammals such as storks from Europe and Africa, Chilean flamingos, macaws, penguins, alpacas, wallaby and more.

Den Oever is also located on the Afsluitdijk and is therefore the only village that is located on fresh and salt water. The port is located near the Afsluitdijk on the Wadden Sea side. Den Oever is a real fishing port. A section of the harbor has been set up as a tourist harbour. You can take a Wadden cruise here or go for a day of sport fishing.
