Cycling route along bell-shaped farms in Schagen and surrounding areas and the Westfriese Omringdijk. The route is 34 kilometers long and can be cycled by following the junctions. It is also possible to download the route.

The Wieringer Skuutje WR60, built in 1840, is the oldest sailing fishing vessel in the Netherlands and owned by the Skuutje WR60 Foundation. The Skuutje is registered as a sailing monument in the Register of Sailing Heritage Netherlands (RVEN).

When we leave the harbor, the net is set and we let the guests view the catch in buckets of water, so that everything stays alive. During the return trip, some of the large shrimps are cooked on board. Shrimp can be peeled and tasted. Our deck is partially covered, so this tour can continue even in bad weather.

The Holle Bolle Boom in Tuitjenhorn offers plenty of fun in the water, playing and eating for children from 0 to 11 years old and their (grand)parents.

The Hiking network in Noord-Holland offers hikers opportunities for a healthy, sporty, and interesting hike in the beautiful Noord-Holland. The different hikes take you across beautiful landscapes, linear villages and nature areas, across dirtroads, centuries-old dikes and along historical locations. You can hike directly from one of the starting points, where you can choose from several marked routes. You can pick the length and environment of your hike. This way, the hiking network offers you plenty of ease, and loads of hiking pleasure!

The Westfriese Omringdijk surrounds Westfriesland, from Alkmaar past Schagen and Kolhorn, Medemblik, Enkhuizen and Hoorn and then back to Alkmaar. More than 1,200 years ago, West Friesland was still a peat swamp above sea level. The early pioneers marked plots of land and dug ditches around them. That was to drain the excess water. They also built dikes and quays. All these dikes, one after the other, already formed a whole around 1250: the 150 kilometer long West Frisian Omringdijk.

You can discover our beautiful municipality by bicycle via the bicycle route. The route takes you about 30 kilometers through beautiful nature and past old stately houses, churches, farms and locks. Along the way you will pass, in addition to the many religious buildings, also numerous historic buildings that, together with the other monuments, make our municipality a picture. The various walks run through beautiful landscapes, charming villages and nature reserves, across farmland paths, ancient dikes and past historic locations. You can go hiking directly from one of the starting points, where you can choose from various marked routes. You choose the length and environment of your walk yourself. This way the hiking network provides both convenience and walking pleasure.

Hiking around Den Helder is beautiful. Everyone who travel North to the top of North Holland will be rewarded with a suprisingly versatile route. Hike on winding paths through dunes and on top of the dyke past the Wadden Sea UNESCO World Heritage. You will see forts, musea, a big red lighthouse and end up in a city centre with any places to rest and have a bite to eat.
