Restaurant 'de Zingende Wielen' is located on the former island Wieringen in between the villages Den Oever and Oosterland. To have breakfast, lunch and an excellent diner, but also for a cup of coffee you are most welcome.

Nowadays the Chapel building has a function as a village house / event location. The space can be rented for various activities such as weddings, receptions, meetings, birthday parties and other gatherings. The Chapel has crockery for 50 guests, so that a (bread) meal / buffet can be enjoyed if necessary.

Are you looking for a place where you can completely unwind? Our holiday home Wijde Waddenzee is located in one of the most beautiful locations in Wieringen. The house is detached with a large backyard. From the kitchen you have a beautiful view over the Wadden Sea.

This unique accomadation; The Ecolodge in Oosterland has been realized around a scouting area right at the Waddensea dike. The house is part of a nature plan, called The Waddenparel. The lodge is suitable for 6 persons and has got 3 bedrooms. Two bedrooms with 2 single beds and the other has got a staple bed. There is a bathroom withe a shower and a seperate toilet. Living area with a nice sitting area and the possibility for another 2 persons to stay on the sleeping couch. For rent for a minimum of 3 nights. Palingrokerij Kay - Den Oever is a mobile eel smokehouse with a 5-star status. The eel comes from our own catch, IJsselmeer or even from Ireland. For the gourmets there is also smoked salmon and mackerel. During the season, own eel is caught on the Wadden Sea, you can see the traps when you look out to sea at the Monument! Come and have a look, you are very welcome.

Den Oever is also located on the Afsluitdijk and is therefore the only village that is located on fresh and salt water. The port is located near the Afsluitdijk on the Wadden Sea side. Den Oever is a real fishing port. A section of the harbor has been set up as a tourist harbour. You can take a Wadden cruise here or go for a day of sport fishing.

The Wieringer Skuutje WR60, built in 1840, is the oldest sailing fishing vessel in the Netherlands and owned by the Skuutje WR60 Foundation. The Skuutje is registered as a sailing monument in the Register of Sailing Heritage Netherlands (RVEN).

Tijdens de ‘Open Monumentendag’ kunnen er tegen een kleine vergoeding met de schepen uit de Historische Hoek tochtjes gemaakt worden.
