The so-called MUZ-Park was established in 1925-28 for the senior staff of the Society for the Implementation of the Zuiderzee Works. The board members A. Den Oever is also located on the Afsluitdijk and is therefore the only village that is located on fresh and salt water. The port is located near the Afsluitdijk on the Wadden Sea side. Den Oever is a real fishing port. A section of the harbor has been set up as a tourist harbour. You can take a Wadden cruise here or go for a day of sport fishing.

Corn mill De Hoop was probably built around 1654. Since 2015, the mill has been milling again and runs weekly thanks to the efforts of volunteers.

Walking route of Landscape North Holland. Wieringen is a "hidden" Wadden Island full of traces of the last ice age. Due to the closure of the Amsteldiep in 1924, the construction of the Afsluitdijk and the Wieringermeerpolder, Wieringen became part of the Noordkop. But it is still full of hidden stories, old villages, height differences, hollow roads, extensive meadows. Incidentally, the dog is allowed on a lead.

Palingrokerij Kay - Den Oever is a mobile eel smokehouse with a 5-star status. The eel comes from our own catch, IJsselmeer or even from Ireland. For the gourmets there is also smoked salmon and mackerel. During the season, own eel is caught on the Wadden Sea, you can see the traps when you look out to sea at the Monument!
