'The apARTment' is a spacious, comfortable and specially designed house on the former island of Wieringen, "De Kroon" of North Holland. The combination of the space decorated with design and art and the authentic landscape with the Wadden coast, the Robbenoordbos, IJsselmeer, fishing port and the Afsluitdijk makes a stay in The apARTment unique.

This unique accomadation; The Ecolodge in Oosterland has been realized around a scouting area right at the Waddensea dike. The house is part of a nature plan, called The Waddenparel. The lodge is suitable for 6 persons and has got 3 bedrooms. Two bedrooms with 2 single beds and the other has got a staple bed. There is a bathroom withe a shower and a seperate toilet. Living area with a nice sitting area and the possibility for another 2 persons to stay on the sleeping couch. For rent for a minimum of 3 nights. Walking route of Landscape North Holland. Wieringen is a "hidden" Wadden Island full of traces of the last ice age. Due to the closure of the Amsteldiep in 1924, the construction of the Afsluitdijk and the Wieringermeerpolder, Wieringen became part of the Noordkop. But it is still full of hidden stories, old villages, height differences, hollow roads, extensive meadows. Incidentally, the dog is allowed on a lead.

At Smultaria in Den Oever you are at the right place for fries, frikandel or croquette for example. The snack bar is versatile and you can go here for the tasty appetite.

At Oostkade in the harbor of Den Oever you will find a campersite. Toilet building after payment to the harbor master to use code of the door.

Early 12th-century church of tuff with crypt. Organ built by Teschemacher in 1762. Changing exhibitions and concerts; tower climbing with a magnificent view over the Wadden Sea and Wieringen. In the Michaëls church in Oosterland are changing exhibitions which you can visit. In the church are paintings and in the crypt of the church you will find visual work.
