Casa Luz means Light House. And that is one of the characteristics of this holiday home: the beautiful incidence of light. The garden with a view over the meadows is located on one of the oldest dikes in the Netherlands, where the sheep regularly walk past in spring and summer. In the living room is our favorite spot: the hanging chair. Are you taking a bath or under the outdoor shower? This is where you can relax!

Den Oever is also located on the Afsluitdijk and is therefore the only village that is located on fresh and salt water. The port is located near the Afsluitdijk on the Wadden Sea side. Den Oever is a real fishing port. A section of the harbor has been set up as a tourist harbour. You can take a Wadden cruise here or go for a day of sport fishing.

M.S. Dageraad organizes arrangements for various boattrips, starting from the harbouw in Den Oever: sport fishing, evening fishing, seal tours, roundtrips and day tours.

You can discover our beautiful municipality by bicycle via the bicycle route. The route takes you about 30 kilometers through beautiful nature and past old stately houses, churches, farms and locks. Along the way you will pass, in addition to the many religious buildings, also numerous historic buildings that, together with the other monuments, make our municipality a picture. The Wadden Experience Point in Den Oever is a viewpoint over the Wadden Sea. You can look out over the 't Schor nature reserve, the dam with the largest spoonbill colony in Europe (Vogelsandt), the former island of Wieringen, the harbor of Den Oever and the Afsluitdijk.
