Canoe rental Den Helder is located at The Helderse Vallei, the center of all canoe routes that Den Helder and Julianadorp are rich in. From here you can see all sides. In addition to the 4 well-defined routes, there are several waterways that are excellent for canoeers and SUPpers (stand up peddeling). We offer single and double canoes and kayaks and triple Canadian canoes. You can also rent longboards and SUP's and we also provide SUP and canoe clinics.

In 1856 Den Helder got as one of the first cities in the Netherlands their own Water Tower, located in Huisduinen. After 50 years the tower was relocated to the center of Den Helder. In 2005 the tower was renovated to show how it was at first

The Dutch lifeboat service through the ages and the safety aspects at sea are at the centre of attention in this museum. Original lifeboats, ship models, scale models, paintings, pictures, distinctions, life-saving equipment and movies are being displayed. All texts and computersimulations are in the English language and most movies as well. Daily, between 13.00 and 16.00 hrs, a 15 minute tour through the inner harbour can be made on board a historic lifeboat. Reservations for the boattrip not required.

The Hiking network in Noord-Holland offers hikers opportunities for a healthy, sporty, and interesting hike in the beautiful Noord-Holland. The different hikes take you across beautiful landscapes, linear villages and nature areas, across dirtroads, centuries-old dikes and along historical locations. You can hike directly from one of the starting points, where you can choose from several marked routes. You can pick the length and environment of your hike. This way, the hiking network offers you plenty of ease, and loads of hiking pleasure!

HSV Den Helder has been around since 1934 and is a fishing club for everyone. HSV often organizes fun events for young and old, which everyone can join. You want to get acquainted with sport fishing or participate in competitions? Join them!

Scheepsfolk is a Dutch maritime folk band with its own unique sound. The band regularly performs in many countries during festivals and nautical events and in folk clubs. The enthusiastic crew accompanies themselves with accordion, guitar, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, draw bag, washboard, candrum, kazoo, cajon and double bass. The musical influences come from all over Europe, so Scheepsfolk has developed its own unique style.
