De Stichting Helderse Botters bestaat geheel uit vrijwilligers en probeert de HD2 en RD28, twee unieke botters als cultureel erfgoed, d.m.v. charter en sponsoring door particulieren en bedrijven, voor het nageslacht in de vaart te houden.

The title, Fort Oostoever, a half fort' is for the second time validity. Seperated by the Noordhollands canel alongside Fort Westoever the fortress on the Noordhollands canel. After the urge to expand of the council of Den Helder to get more space the fort was halved again. Fortress Oostoever is rarely visitable.

Camping Duinhoeve is located between Julianadorp and Den Helder. The campsite is situated about 2 kilometers from beach. We specifically focus us on people who go on holiday without children. Our camping pitches are very spacious, surrounded by green hedges. With the comfort of a 6 amp electricity connection and a good Wi-Fi connection you can completely enjoy your holiday.

Art and Nature project The Nollen is an initiative of artist R.W. van de Wint. In 1980 Van de Wint began with a painterly experiment in the old dunes "De Nollen". That grew into paintings, sculptures and structures. The Nollen is a project in the making. "R. W. Wint" unexpectedly died in May 2006 of a heart attack. Visitors make, accompanied by a guide, a walk along steel sculptures and monumental structures.

The Helderse Vallei is the starting point of the 4 well-marked canoe routes that Den Helder has, with various jetties along the way. In addition, Den Helder has various waterways that are easily accessible for canoes. The village route (purple route, 15 km), the southernmost route, runs along the outer edges of Julianadorp.

Smartlappenkoor Ordinaria is a four-part choir that has been around for more than 20 years. We sing smartlaps, life songs and Dutch-language repertoire. Every year we participate in Music Day, Summer Dreams and other events.

Citymarketing Den Helder has opened an Experience Store in the center of Den Helder. A unique concept where you can interactively obtain information about living, working, learning and leisure within the municipality of Den Helder.

All of that whilst overlooking the runway of the airport with all sorts of activity. What a lot of the people of Den Helder don't know, is that we are freely accessible. No passport or ID required!
