Aquacentrum Den Helder operates the “Het Heersdiep” swimming pool in Den Helder. The pool offers various indoor pools, an outdoor swimming pool, a diving tower, and an extensive program with various activities. Surrounding the building is a beautiful sunbathing lawn with sunny and shady spots, equipped with various play attributes such as a pirate ship and an air trampoline.

Mindsz gallery & upcycle workplace has surprising and unique designer furniture and home accessories, made out of recycled materials. Upcycling is the base principle with which we work, where durability and recycling are important factors. Materials and objects are being re-used and usually get a totally different function. Every product has a unique characters because of it. Mindsz also has the goal to offer a workplace for people who are psychologically vulnerable and have a big distance to the job market.

Our Dutch culture seems to be fading, but not in Den Helder. Since 1975, the Helderse Draaiorgelvrienden have been active to maintain a tradition. The 90-key street organ 'de Harmonica' is managed and operated by the volunteers of 'Stichting Helderse Draaiorgelvrienden'. Almost every Saturday they are with the organ in the city center of Den Helder. On an original wooden, three-wheeled push cart and always turned by hand, as happened a century ago.

Op maandag en vrijdag zijn wij geopend voor lunch waar je van een kleine, doch bijzondere, kaart lekkere keuzes kunt maken. Tijdens evenementen op Willemsoord zijn wij natuurlijk ook geopend. Met mooi weer kan je ook op ons uitnodigende terras plaatsnemen aan de waterkant en zo in alle rust genieten van het mooie weer. Ook voor speciale feesten en partijen kan je bij ons terecht. Behind the beautiful nature area and recreational forest de Donkere Duinen, you find beach Donkere Duinen, also known by the people as entrance ''Hengstepad''. The beach Donkere Duinen is only accessible on foot or on bike. The advantage you have is that you can enjoy a beautiful and mostly quiet family beach. And ofcourse when you go to this beach, you have a great walk or bicycle tour ahead of you.

Canoe rental Den Helder is located at The Helderse Vallei, the center of all canoe routes that Den Helder and Julianadorp are rich in. From here you can see all sides. In addition to the 4 well-defined routes, there are several waterways that are excellent for canoeers and SUPpers (stand up peddeling). We offer single and double canoes and kayaks and triple Canadian canoes. You can also rent longboards and SUP's and we also provide SUP and canoe clinics.
