The Helderse Vallei is the starting point of the 4 well-marked canoe routes that Den Helder has, with various jetties along the way. Julianadorp was founded by mr. P. Loopuyt in 1909 and in the same year Queen Wilhelmina gave permission to give the village the name Julianadorp. Julianadorp has about 14000 inhabitants. In summer, mostly German tourists provide more than 900,000 overnight stays per year. In the cozy old center you will find various catering establishments, shops and various events are organized.
