De Donkere Duinen is een aangeplant dennenbos. Landschap Noord-Holland zorgt door middel van beheers-ingrepen dat het wordt omgevormd naar een afwisselend, natuurlijker bos.

The city centre is currently undergoing a major transformation. We are committed to a compact shopping centre, with a very varied range of shops for our own residents and for the large groups of tourists who visit the city annually. After you have shopped at one of the many shops, you can go to one of the restaurants for a snack and a drink. You can also use free Wi-Fi. Within walking distance you will find the old schipyuard Willemsoord with its various museums.

Op maandag en vrijdag zijn wij geopend voor lunch waar je van een kleine, doch bijzondere, kaart lekkere keuzes kunt maken. Tijdens evenementen op Willemsoord zijn wij natuurlijk ook geopend. Met mooi weer kan je ook op ons uitnodigende terras plaatsnemen aan de waterkant en zo in alle rust genieten van het mooie weer. Ook voor speciale feesten en partijen kan je bij ons terecht. Kade 60 is located in the building of the former iron foundry , located at the old dockyard Willemsoord. The stylish decor, varied menu and informal atmosphere make you feel at home in our "living room". The restaurant seats up to 80 guests and features a bar, lounge area with fireplace and a play area for children, equipped with DVD player. You can not only contact us for lunch or dinner, or just for a cup of coffee or a drink with a snack. Behind the restaurant you will find over 200 free parking spaces !

Scheepsfolk is a Dutch maritime folk band with its own unique sound. The band regularly performs in many countries during festivals and nautical events and in folk clubs. The enthusiastic crew accompanies themselves with accordion, guitar, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, draw bag, washboard, candrum, kazoo, cajon and double bass. The musical influences come from all over Europe, so Scheepsfolk has developed its own unique style.

In the centre of Den Helder, you will find a magnificent collection of colorful tropical plants. It's the largest Japanese garden in the Netherlands with running water.

Looking for a bouquet or a plant? We have a large assortment of flowers. Fantasy bloemen has been a household name in Den Helder and Julianadorp for more than 40 years.

You are welcome at our restaurant for a wonderful night out. On Saturday, Sunday and during holidays you can use our all-in buffet.
