One a former cheese shop and the other an old village inn where you still can find the old details and atmospere of the former island Wieringen. What makes it so unique? The bright and happy coulors. A well filled library with lots of information on the Wadden, art and a wonderful readingtable. A kitchen where you can cook yourself. Possibility to make an adventures tour on the Waddensea.

Den Oever is also located on the Afsluitdijk and is therefore the only village that is located on fresh and salt water. The port is located near the Afsluitdijk on the Wadden Sea side. Den Oever is a real fishing port. A section of the harbor has been set up as a tourist harbour. You can take a Wadden cruise here or go for a day of sport fishing.

A visit to tea room/tea shop 't Theeater is a unique experience that you should definitely not miss. Under 'Packages' you will find all kinds of possibilities for an unforgettable day out!

This unique accomadation; The Ecolodge in Oosterland has been realized around a scouting area right at the Waddensea dike. The house is part of a nature plan, called The Waddenparel. The lodge is suitable for 6 persons and has got 3 bedrooms. Two bedrooms with 2 single beds and the other has got a staple bed. There is a bathroom withe a shower and a seperate toilet. Living area with a nice sitting area and the possibility for another 2 persons to stay on the sleeping couch. For rent for a minimum of 3 nights. Studio Blank - Culturele Overnachting is located in Den Oever and offers a terrace. The property has garden views and is 49.9 km from Terschelling.

A 2 to 2½ hour trip that starts at the Oostkade. We sail through the harbors of Den Oever and past the sluices in the Afsluitdijk. Then we sail along the "Losse Dam" where the spoonbills and cormorants breed and along drier sandbanks where seals rest.

The four storage sheds on Gesterweg were built in 1937 as a warehouse for Stelling Den Oever and were used as a mobilization complex during the Cold War.
