De Aap is the most active youth association in the municipality of Hollands Kroon. It started around 1940 in an old shack where young people went after church to do a beer. Nowadays the Monkey functions as a place of entertainment that focuses on starting party animals. Bakery Alkemade has been a household name in Breezand and surroundings for more than 18 years. In the bakery, 8 full-time bakers are busy preparing artisanal bread and pastries 6 days a week.

The Old Anna Paulowna Museum has the exhibition "100 years after the flood disaster" in the Anna Paulowna polder. At the beginning of the last century, many flower bulb growers moved to the north of North Holland. Many growers from South Holland came to “De Noord”. This created a need for its own parish church. To cover the start-up costs, voluntary contributions were asked and a church bulb auction was held.
