The International Diocesan Missionary Major Seminary Redemptoris Mater of the Diocese of Haarlem-Amsterdam receives young men with a vocation to form priests for the new evangelization. In 1866 is het statige raadhuis gebouwd naar ontwerp van architect A.T. van Wijngaarden. De eclectische bouwstijl is te herkennen aan de symmetrische indeling van de gevel, de deels gepleisterde gevel, de venstertypen en de gestucte lijsten met profilering. In 1975 werd het pand verbouwd tot dorpshuis en vernoemd naar het naastgelegen reizigerscafé Prins Maurits dat in 1973 verloren ging tijdens een brand.
