De woning is gebouwd in 1850. Het schilddak is gedekt met rode pannen. De witte kroonlijst is niet versierd. De beide zijde van de voordeur worden gesierd met een pilaster. Uit archieven blijkt dat in 1929 meneer K. Coops een aanvraag heeft gedaan om het woonhuis te veranderen tot winkelhuis. Het kozijn van een winkelraam kwam in de plaats van twee ramen. In 1966 is de voorgevel veranderd. Er zijn meerdere winkels in het pand gevestigd geweest waaronder de Pico en een schoenenwinkel. Het gebouw heeft geen monumentale status. Landhoofden in Nieuwe Niedorp van de tramlijn Wognum – Schagen
De historische landhoofden zijn een tastbare herinnering aan de trambrug voor de oversteek over de Langereis. Vanaf 30 oktober 1898 werd de brug gebruikt door de stoomtram van Schagen naar Wognum. Het traject was 23 kilometer lang en duurde 70 minuten. De tram vervoerde personen maar ook vele goederen voor de veiling in Winkel en de gasfabriek in Nieuwe Niedorp. Na de komst van busverbindingen en vrachtwagens werd op 31 januari 1930 de tramlijn gesloten.
