We give you the opportunity to go sportfishing in one of the most beautiful parts of nature in Europe: The Wadden Sea. For groups from 10 persons.

The gauge house in the harbor of Den Oever was used to record the water level. There are two of these houses on Wieringen.

Spent the day at the Wadden Sea. Have fun with your friends or family, go fishing or look for seals. Sport Fishing Jorna offers a nice ship for 12 people maximum for sport fishing, evening fishing and seal tours.

There are two lock complexes in the Afsluitdijk: the Lorentz locks on the Frisian side at Kornwerderzand and the Stevinsluizen at Den Oever. The complexes consist of locks, which allow ships to navigate back and forth between the IJsselmeer and Waddenzee, and discharge locks, which discharge excess IJsselmeer water into the Waddenzee at low tide.

This unique accomadation; The Ecolodge in Oosterland has been realized around a scouting area right at the Waddensea dike. The house is part of a nature plan, called The Waddenparel. The lodge is suitable for 6 persons and has got 3 bedrooms. Two bedrooms with 2 single beds and the other has got a staple bed. There is a bathroom withe a shower and a seperate toilet. Living area with a nice sitting area and the possibility for another 2 persons to stay on the sleeping couch. For rent for a minimum of 3 nights. At Smultaria in Den Oever you are at the right place for fries, frikandel or croquette for example. The snack bar is versatile and you can go here for the tasty appetite.

Early 12th-century church of tuff with crypt. Organ built by Teschemacher in 1762. Changing exhibitions and concerts; tower climbing with a magnificent view over the Wadden Sea and Wieringen. In the Michaëls church in Oosterland are changing exhibitions which you can visit. In the church are paintings and in the crypt of the church you will find visual work.
