Tasty and Familiar. That's what it's all about at Bakery Dunselman. Our delicious breads, tasty cakes and pastries and our delicious cookies. Those products have been the cornerstone of our family company since we first got started 157 years ago.

Tasty and Trusted That is what it is all about at Dunselman Bakery. From the founding of our family business 157 years ago, to the latest developments now: that slogan continues to fit us perfectly. Tasty products have always been the basis of our right to exist. Our delicious breads, yummy cakes and pastries and scrumptious cookies are enjoyed every day by thousands of people. This is partly thanks to our many stores in all neighbourhoods in Den Helder and Julianadorp. The accessibility for customers is therefore optimal.

Warm bakery with fresh bread, Turkish pizzas, Italian pizzas, dishes, shawarma and more! For companies and/or catering is also possible. Please report large orders of bread 1 day in advance.

Nowhere in North Holland is bird life as rich as on Balgzand. The land here is wide and beautiful. From a number of points on the sea dyke you have a beautiful view of the mudflats. A good point to look at is ’t Kuitje Information Centre on the Oostoeverweg in Den Helder. Note the tides, for with rising water the thousands of birds fly in large swirling clouds towards the dike to spend time there.

The Balgzandpolder is entirely designed for birds. You always see birds here resting or looking for food. At high tide in the Wadden Sea there are extra birds to be seen here. They can often be admired from a short distance via a viewing screen. Birds that you can see, for example, are spoonbills, many species of ducks, large groups of oystercatchers and redshanks and amongst them rarer birds such as spotted redshanks and greenshanks.

Bar Bonaire is the place where the nights are going further and at day there is space for lunch. We stay to have the same concept but that better and longer. We open at 11:00. You can come in and enjoy a coffee or something from out new menu like fingerfood. In the evening we are as we were before. We are also going to organize more events.

In the center of Den Helder you will find Bar style. Come and visit us for a drink. We also have a terrace where in the summer season, in collaboration with colleagues on Breewaterplein, regular performances take place which creates a very cozy atmosphere.
