The Viking Ship is a social cultural center in the municipality of Hollands Kroon. It houses many associations and foundations and offers a variety of possibilities for renting a space or hall. The stage in the main hall gives associations and theater companies a place where their performances are beautifully illuminated.

The so-called MUZ-Park was established in 1925-28 for the senior staff of the Society for the Implementation of the Zuiderzee Works. The board members A. Bos and G.A. van Hattum moved into the thatched double villa at Gemeenelandsweg 116, engineer Algra into the detached house at Gemeenelandsweg 110 and for the employers there were the workers' houses at Gemeenelandsweg 94-108 and 128-130.

Haven Den Oever
Den Oever is also located on the Afsluitdijk and is therefore the only village that is located on fresh and salt water. The port is located near the Afsluitdijk on the Wadden Sea side. Den Oever is a real fishing port. A section of the harbor has been set up as a tourist harbour. You can take a Wadden cruise here or go for a day of sport fishing.
