The Helderse Vallei is the starting point of the 4 well-marked canoe routes from Den Helder with various footbridges along the way. In addition, Den Helder has various waterways that are easily accessible for canoes. The city and defense route (red route, 6 km there and 6 km back) passes Fort Dirks Admiraal, Fort Erfprins, Fort Westoever, the line and Willemsoord.

A climbing park with challenging obstacles at different heights. The Eco-climbing park is landscaped with complete respect for nature among what shows the use of the materials uiy. It is for anyone who has a portion and a good physical health has dare. Challenging obstacles on 4 and 7 meters height, a special 75 meters and a 10 meter high plucked climbing wall make it attractive for young (minimum length 1.30 meters) and old! After attracting the integral belt and setting up the helmet you go to the exhibition trail. The trail consists of 3 loops.

At Accordeonola, accordion players are given the opportunity to make music together in an accordion orchestra. Under the guidance of a skilled conductor we try to set the bar high! The sanibunker is built in 1942, beginning of 1943. This bunker had a surgery room where the wounded could be stabilized, so that they could be transported further in-land. This bunker was part of the German ''Kriegsmarine'', and had 1 doctor and 4 nurses, who could care for 10 people with minor injuries, and 10 seriously injured people.

Stoom is situated in a unique spot in a beautiful monumental building at Willemsoord, which formerly served as a shipyard and maintenance yard for the Royal Dutch Navy.
