The Stedelijk Muziekkorps has been transformed from a marching music corps into a concert band with a broad repertoire. From solid march to sensitive classical, the varied program is always a challenge for the members.

The marina of the Onrust association is situated around the "Onrust" residential area. On one side the Bassin and Spoorhaven and on the other side the Helders Kanaal (the canal). The club has around 100 berths in total. The size of the berths varies from 6 meters to around 17 meters. In the Helders Kanaal the berths are issued at the length of the ship while the boxes are issued at box length (12 meters for the Bassin and 15 meters for the Spoorhaven).

You can go hiking directly from one of the starting points, where you can choose from various marked routes. You choose the length and environment of your walk yourself. HSV Den Helder has been around since 1934 and is a fishing club for everyone. HSV often organizes fun events for young and old, which everyone can join. You want to get acquainted with sport fishing or participate in competitions? Join them!

Fort Dirksz Admiraal was built in 1812-1813 as the middle fort in the Stelling van Den Helder. The fort is named after the former mayor of Monnickendam, Cornelis Dirkszoon, who was admiral of the North Holland fleet during the Eighty Years' War. In an advanced position, in what was then still a swamp area, both Fort Oostoever and Fort Erfprins could be protected from this fort. During the Second World War, the German occupier made use of the fort by building an anti-aircraft battery on it. This is still completely present. The fort was used by the Royal Netherlands Army during the Cold

The sanibunker is built in 1942, beginning of 1943. This bunker had a surgery room where the wounded could be stabilized, so that they could be transported further in-land. This bunker was part of the German ''Kriegsmarine'', and had 1 doctor and 4 nurses, who could care for 10 people with minor injuries, and 10 seriously injured people.

Willemsoord Marina is a marina with modern sanitary facilities, a launderette and a fuel pontoon where you can refuel with diesel oil. The marina is equipped with a WiFi system. As a marina, we have proudly been wearing the Blue Flag since 2009 and since 2016 the Green Pennant has also been added. The Blue Flag and Green Pennant are international environmental awards. Outside the marina we have a yacht yard where you can go for all types of maintenance and repair work.

Restaurant Vice Versa is situated in the station building of Den Helder Airport, from which our guests can enjoy a nice cup of coffee, a lovely lunch, our sandwich of the month or one of our delicious fried egg on toast. All of that whilst overlooking the runway of the airport with all sorts of activity. What a lot of the people of Den Helder don't know, is that we are freely accessible. No passport or ID required!
