De Aap is the most active youth association in the municipality of Hollands Kroon. It started around 1940 in an old shack where young people went after church to do a beer. Nowadays the Monkey functions as a place of entertainment that focuses on starting party animals. De Aap offers a safe environment where young people can get acquainted with going out in a responsible way. This does not mean that you will only encounter 16-year-olds in the Aap, because you will not find the conviviality there easily at other places of entertainment. Children's farm de Regenmortel is a zoo in the heart of Breezand and is run entirely by volunteers. From 15 April to 31 October, Kinderboerderij de Regenmortel is open every Wednesday and Friday afternoon from 14:00 to 16:00. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the animals while enjoying a cup of coffee, tea or lemonade, the children (but also adults) can help with their work or color a coloring page in / at the log cabin. Holiday cottage or actually a holiday farmhouse with 6 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 3 toilets, a sauna, a games room with 2 darts, television, internet access and pool billiard room. On the first floor there is a room with a table tennis table and a 'hanging area' for the youngsters. On the south-west facing terrace there is a fixed barbecue and a fire pot for the evening. On the other side of the tennis court there are some play equipment. On the eastern terrace you can enjoy breakfast in the morning, in sunny weather.

At the beginning of the last century, many flower bulb growers moved to the north of North Holland. Many growers from South Holland came to “De Noord”. This created a need for its own parish church. To cover the start-up costs, voluntary contributions were asked and a church bulb auction was held.
