At the beginning of the last century, many flower bulb growers moved to the north of North Holland. Many growers from South Holland came to “De Noord”. This created a need for its own parish church. To cover the start-up costs, voluntary contributions were asked and a church bulb auction was held.

Bakery Alkemade has been a household name in Breezand and surroundings for more than 18 years. In the bakery, 8 full-time bakers are busy preparing artisanal bread and pastries 6 days a week.

Children's farm de Regenmortel is a zoo in the heart of Breezand and is run entirely by volunteers. From 15 April to 31 October, Kinderboerderij de Regenmortel is open every Wednesday and Friday afternoon from 14:00 to 16:00. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the animals while enjoying a cup of coffee, tea or lemonade, the children (but also adults) can help with their work or color a coloring page in / at the log cabin. The Old Anna Paulowna Museum has the exhibition "100 years after the flood disaster" in the Anna Paulowna polder.
