Fort Kijkduin
Follow in the footsteps of Napoleon Did you know that sharks live in the North Sea? Would you dare to feed them? This is possible in the North Sea aquarium of Fort Kijkduin! A visit to the aquarium is an exciting and educational adventure where you learn everything about the underwater life in the Wadden and North Sea. Spectacular is the 15-metre-long walk-through tunnel. The historical museum of the fort is also very interesting. Walk through underground tunnels and discover 200 years of military history about Den Helder and the Napoleonic fortress itself. The new family exhibition explores the lives and work of the soldiers stationed in the fort in 1939 during the mobilization of the Dutch army.

Ice parlor “de Schepper”
Our icecream is fresh and made in our open ice cream kitchen. We make our ice cream with fresh fruit, freshly squeezed juices, milk, cream and sugar. All our sorbet ice cream is lactose-free and almost all of our ice cream is gluten-free. Besides ice cream, we also have delicious coffee.

De Boerenlandroute
The Helderse Vallei is the starting point of the 4 well-marked canoe routes that Den Helder has, with various jetties along the way. In addition, Den Helder has various waterways that are easily accessible for canoes. The farmland route (orange route, 12 km) goes right through the bulb fields.

Fort Westoever
Welcome to Fort West Bank In the fort you can expect: a beer brewery, a beer café with food, halls for weddings and parties, and a museum / expo of the Den Denis under construction. Fort Westoever is home to the Green Stek care nursery (Edible Landscaping and Herbs), Bright Events (corporate parties and more), Helderse Jongers City Brewery, and Beercafé Fort Westoever. In our café you can be honest for really Helders beer, with a view on the brewery. We have a large terrace and a private jetty for your boat. Camping Julianadorp aan Zee
Our campsite is located in a quiet spot between the flower bulb fields and the beautiful Duinvliet hiking, cycling, canoeing and horseback riding path. It’s close to the beach, shopping centre, swimming pool and various restaurants. Our spacious camping pitches are equipped with running water, electricity (10 amps) and waste water drainage. Our sanitary building is equipped with underfloor heating and showering is free of charge. Our campsite also has a canoe rental that is accessible to young and old, experienced or inexperienced. Dogs are welcome at our campsite.

Floratuin Julianadorp
The Floratuin is a show garden of flower bulbs where you can find over 2.000 different types of bulb vegetables. You can make a lovely walk in the garden, take pictures and order your favorite type in the shop. It is also possible to buy flowers in the shop and watch an information movie about the bulb business. The workshops and guided tours are on request possible to book. For groups de Floratuin has a special arrangement including a guided tour. In the tulip fields you are allowed to pick your own favorite tulips.

Bed & Breakfast Tulpen & Zo
In our former farmhouse, since early 1900, a part has been made into a Bed & Breakfast. Where cows and horses used to be housed, we now have two modern rooms with a living room, whilst also having preserved some of the old farm elements. The appartment has its own entry on the rear of the farm. Bicycles or motorcycles can be stored inside. For e-bikes there is a charging point. We have expanded our B&B with a home-made ''pipowagen''. It's situated at a nice playfield for kid's, behind the B&B. There is a trampoline along with swings.

Campground Koegras is a cozy campground at just 2,5km from the beach, right in the city center of Julianadorp. Everything you need is therefore closeby. We have 25 spacious camping spots, which are nice and secluded due to the row of trees surrounding the campground. Every is welcome, dogs included!

With us, you can camp around a 100-year-old farm, which is now being used as a flowerbulb-nursery. From all the spacious camp spots you have a great overview of the dunes, and you are surrounded by the beautiful bulb fields.
