De “Groene Stek” is een dagbesteding op een unieke locatie waar mensen met diverse beperkingen of achterstanden onder professionele begeleiding dagbesteding krijgen op maat en in kleine groepen. Wij hebben een geweldig team van mensen die je gaan begeleiden op en rond de akker met de dagelijkse werkzaamheden. Een ieder van ons zorgt voor een productieve dag met een vrolijke noot. De buitenlucht doet de rest want slapen doe je op z’n best na een dagje akker. Moe en voldaan!

Canoe rental Den Helder is located at The Helderse Vallei, the center of all canoe routes that Den Helder and Julianadorp are rich in. From here you can see all sides. In addition to the 4 well-defined routes, there are several waterways that are excellent for canoeers and SUPpers (stand up peddeling). Southeast of Den Helder lies the beautiful nature reserve World Heritage Waddenzee. The Balgzand is the the western part of the Waddenzee. This area is very important for migrating birds and for fish. To have as many people as possible know about this beautiful reserve, Nature information center Balgzand 't Kuitje hosts wad excursions organised by the Waddenvereniging.

Nowhere in North Holland is bird life as rich as on Balgzand. The land here is wide and beautiful. From a number of points on the sea dyke you have a beautiful view of the mudflats. A good point to look at is ’t Kuitje Information Centre on the Oostoeverweg in Den Helder. Note the tides, for with rising water the thousands of birds fly in large swirling clouds towards the dike to spend time there.

Steamboat Y8211 and tugboat Dombo Y8017 are historical. The volunteers are working with a lot of passion to keep the boats in the water. It is possible to take a ride with the Dombo. The boat trips are organized alongside the Tourist Information Point.
