Steamboat Y8211 and tugboat Dombo Y8017 are historical. The volunteers are working with a lot of passion to keep the boats in the water. It is possible to take a ride with the Dombo. The boat trips are organized alongside the Tourist Information Point.

The Helderse Vallei is the starting point of the 4 well-marked canoe routes that Den Helder has, with various jetties along the way.
