Museum Slag aan de Somme displays a collection of old uniforms, helmets, grenades, weapons and ammunition. Models depicting the events on the Somme during the First World War. The museum is housed in a three-storey tower.

Schagerwad Schagen is approximately 100 hectares in size and almost entirely owned and managed by Staatsbosbeheer. This is the only nature reserve within the municipality of Schagen.
