Steamboat Y8211 and tugboat Dombo Y8017 are historical. The volunteers are working with a lot of passion to keep the boats in the water. It is possible to take a ride with the Dombo. The boat trips are organized alongside the Tourist Information Point.

For many years we have been running our restaurant Golden Bridge with great pleasure. Quality, good food and good service are important to us. The menu consists more than 50 different small dishes. Our Dutch culture seems to be fading, but not in Den Helder. Since 1975, the Helderse Draaiorgelvrienden have been active to maintain a tradition. The 90-key street organ 'de Harmonica' is managed and operated by the volunteers of 'Stichting Helderse Draaiorgelvrienden'. Almost every Saturday they are with the organ in the city center of Den Helder. On an original wooden, three-wheeled push cart and always turned by hand, as happened a century ago.
