Early 12th-century church of tuff with crypt. Organ built by Teschemacher in 1762. Changing exhibitions and concerts; tower climbing with a magnificent view over the Wadden Sea and Wieringen. In the Michaëls church in Oosterland are changing exhibitions which you can visit. In the church are paintings and in the crypt of the church you will find visual work.

Walking route of Landscape North Holland. Wieringen is a "hidden" Wadden Island full of traces of the last ice age. Due to the closure of the Amsteldiep in 1924, the construction of the Afsluitdijk and the Wieringermeerpolder, Wieringen became part of the Noordkop. But it is still full of hidden stories, old villages, height differences, hollow roads, extensive meadows. Incidentally, the dog is allowed on a lead.

Casa Luz means Light House. And that is one of the characteristics of this holiday home: the beautiful incidence of light. The garden with a view over the meadows is located on one of the oldest dikes in the Netherlands, where the sheep regularly walk past in spring and summer. In the living room is our favorite spot: the hanging chair. Are you taking a bath or under the outdoor shower? This is where you can relax!

The Wieringer Skuutje WR60, built in 1840, is the oldest sailing fishing vessel in the Netherlands and owned by the Skuutje WR60 Foundation. The Skuutje is registered as a sailing monument in the Register of Sailing Heritage Netherlands (RVEN).

An adventurous tour looking for seals and other sea animals. Discover what you didn’t know about the sea, both above and below water! The boats of the Wadvissersgilde will take you to the most beautiful places of the Wadden Sea, which you can’t see from the dyke. You will be visiting the Wieringer grounds and will be told about this special area. During the trip, the seabed will be trawled and the marine life hoisted onboard to uncover what hides beneath. From crawly crabs to glassy shrimps, you will have the opportunity to admire these sea animals from up close.

Welcome to the unique b&b The House of the Wadden. 2 houses joint together. One a former cheese shop and the other an old village inn where you still can find the old details and atmospere of the former island Wieringen. What makes it so unique? The bright and happy coulors. A well filled library with lots of information on the Wadden, art and a wonderful readingtable. A kitchen where you can cook yourself. Possibility to make an adventures tour on the Waddensea.
