The Wieringer Skuutje WR60, built in 1840, is the oldest sailing fishing vessel in the Netherlands and owned by the Skuutje WR60 Foundation. The Skuutje is registered as a sailing monument in the Register of Sailing Heritage Netherlands (RVEN).

At the Historical Corner of the Vissershaven in Den Oever, next to the water level house from 1919, is a workshop and meeting space. This building serves to support the activities around the ships berthed in the Historical Corner.

In the renewed young and passionate restaurant you will be surprised by the hospitality, attention, good atmosphere, beautiful decor, quality products and of course the love on the plate! All hot dishes are prepared on the Green Mountain Pellet Grill. This BBQ is fired on wood pellets instead of coal or briquettes. This special mix of pressed wood pellets gives a unique taste to every dish. In addition to the menu, changing seasonal dishes are offered, if possible from the neighborhood.

An adventurous tour looking for seals and other sea animals. Discover what you didn’t know about the sea, both above and below water! The boats of the Wadvissersgilde will take you to the most beautiful places of the Wadden Sea, which you can’t see from the dyke. You will be visiting the Wieringer grounds and will be told about this special area. During the trip, the seabed will be trawled and the marine life hoisted onboard to uncover what hides beneath. From crawly crabs to glassy shrimps, you will have the opportunity to admire these sea animals from up close.

This unique accomadation; The Ecolodge in Oosterland has been realized around a scouting area right at the Waddensea dike. The house is part of a nature plan, called The Waddenparel. The lodge is suitable for 6 persons and has got 3 bedrooms. Two bedrooms with 2 single beds and the other has got a staple bed. There is a bathroom withe a shower and a seperate toilet. The studio has a private terrace and can accommodate two persons. Possibly there may be a bed or cot to be put.
