Bed & Breakfast 'Vrij Gezellig' is located in the new farmhouse, in the rural West Frisian village of Winkel. A fairly cozy place, away from the highway, where you will feel at ease. The Bedijkte Boezem is a piece of grassland located in the West Frisian village of Winkel. Here young birds are spared by not mowing before mid-June. The area is too small and buildings are too close to really satisfy the many meadow birds. In the ponds there are year-round water birds such as spoonbill, teal, white hole and snipe for migrating. You can take a look at the Bedijkte Boezem, which can be easily seen from the Westfriese Dijk.

De grenspaal gaf aan waar de onderhoudsverplichtingen met betrekking tot de Westfriese zeedijk lagen. Op de paal staan de wapens van de waterschappen waarbij al van oudsher de dijkvakken onder Winkel in onderhoud waren. Hier eindigde het deel van de dijk dat in onderhoud was bij de Vier Noorder Koggen en begon het stuk dat in 1339 was toebedeeld aan Drechterland. Deze paal is de vervanger van het in de hongerwinter van 1944 opgestookte exemplaar, herplaatst in 1991 op initiatief van Stichting Historisch Niedorp.
