Dance Masters dance school Into Dance is a dance school for young and old where you can take Ballroom, Latin and Kizomba classes.

Willemsoord Marina is a marina with modern sanitary facilities, a launderette and a fuel pontoon where you can refuel with diesel oil. The marina is equipped with a WiFi system. As a marina, we have proudly been wearing the Blue Flag since 2009 and since 2016 the Green Pennant has also been added. The Blue Flag and Green Pennant are international environmental awards. Outside the marina we have a yacht yard where you can go for all types of maintenance and repair work.

Duinoord is a unique and very pleasant restaurant in country and western style. Partly due to the homey atmosphere, but also by the brown atmosphere every guest feels right at home. The company has a Steakhouse, a terrace, a banquet hall and a barbecue restaurant on the 1st floor.

Since 1996, the museum lightship Texel No. 10 has been an absolute eye-catcher in Museum Harbor Willemsoord on the Oude Rijkswerf Willemsoord in Den Helder. What is special is that the now beautifully restored ship is moored a stone's throw from the slipway where she was launched in 1951. After this, the lightship would be a reliable beacon in the sea off the Dutch coast for forty years. It now forms a shining centerpiece of a special museum ships collection. Step aboard the rib and discover the Wadden Sea at full speed

The Balgzandpolder is entirely designed for birds. You always see birds here resting or looking for food. At high tide in the Wadden Sea there are extra birds to be seen here. They can often be admired from a short distance via a viewing screen. Birds that you can see, for example, are spoonbills, many species of ducks, large groups of oystercatchers and redshanks and amongst them rarer birds such as spotted redshanks and greenshanks.

The Helderse Vallei is the starting point of the 4 well-marked canoe routes that Den Helder has, with various jetties along the way. In addition, Den Helder has various waterways that are easily accessible for canoes. The farmland route (orange route, 12 km) goes right through the bulb fields.
