Somewhere at the end of December 2014, Jeroen and Saskia Hodde went to take a look at Lutjewinkel. A building would have been vacant there for almost 3 years. It was not empty. It was inhabited by the earlier managers. They were instantly in love. The Huyskamer was born: March 21, 2015, they opened the doors for the first time. From 17 April 2020 the new lookout point at the "Gat in de dijk" along the Noorderdijkweg in Wieringerwerf can be visited.

Have a very pleasant stay in one of the two appartements situated in this beautiful Wieringer farm right in the middle of the rural countryside of Wieringen. Wieringen, a former island, now connected to the mainland by the Aflsluitdijk en Amsteldiepdijk lies at the Waddensea and the lakes: Amstelmeer and IJsselmeer. It's only 15 minutes drive to the Nordsea beach. You will find lots of space and possibilties like surfing, sailing, swimming, wad-walking, biking,walking, fishing or sealspotting. Black alder, soft birch and lots of mushrooms houses the Robbenoordbos. The Dijkgatbos has a special history. Two polder forests to delve into!

The church is basically opened daily for visitors. There are several information boards placed where you can read all sorts of details about the history of the church and surrounding area accompanied by old photographs and drawings.
