The level gauge house was used to record the water level. There are two of these houses on Wieringen.

Wieringer Islandmuseum “Jan Lont”
The farm of Jant Lont is an original Wieringer farm dating from 1854, is showing live and working on Wieringen. Special is the tilewall with bible exposures. The farm has been renovated in 2004-2005 and refurbished. It has a lot of information.

Hippolytuskerk
The Hippolytus Church is a Protestant church. A church has stood on this site since the 12th century. In addition to the church service, there is also room for exhibitions and concerts.

VVV Informatiecentrum Vikingen op Wieringen

Foundation for Shelter Nautical Heritage Wieringen (ONEW)
At the Historical Corner of the Vissershaven in Den Oever, next to the water level house from 1919, is a workshop and meeting space. This building serves to support the activities around the ships berthed in the Historical Corner.

Michaëls church
Early 12th-century church of tuff with crypt. Organ built by Teschemacher in 1762. Changing exhibitions and concerts; tower climbing with a magnificent view over the Wadden Sea and Wieringen. In the Michaëls church in Oosterland are changing exhibitions which you can visit. In the church are paintings and in the crypt of the church you will find visual work.
