The farmhouse has a single square and was built in 1870. The roof is covered with tiles and part of the right side wall was originally made of wood. This can still be seen in the historical photos. The Westerweg was nicknamed ‘Slijksteeg’ because of the wet and muddy (mud) environment. The bridge opposite the farmhouse was a clear landmark in the village. This drawbridge was called the Slijksteegbrug. In 1940 the bridge was replaced by a permanent stone bridge. Archives show that the house was renovated in 1968 by owner J. Koopman. The Grandmother age and Motorsmuseum
The Grandmother and Motorsmuseum is a museum that exhibits all sorts of grandmother and antique motifs. There are almost 300 engines to visit. In addition, you can enjoy old fire trucks, Ford's 1948 tractor and admire a ballast Nedam roll from 1927. On the huge upper floor you can see all kinds of authentic shops, including: Hats, Hairdresser, Grocery, Clothing and many other things from grandmother.
