We have a very traditional farm with potatoes, onions, wheat and sugar beets. But we are also an energy supplier. There runs a 0.9 megawatt wind turbine and there are 180 solar panels on the roof of the shed. Want to see for yourself how our products grow? Minicampsite on an arable farm lokated in de Wieringermeerpolder, close to two forests Robbenoordbos and Dijkgatbos. The Catharina Hoeve lies at 2km. distance from the IJsselmeer en 3km. from the old fishing village Den Oever on the former island Wieringen. You will find the main village of the Wieringermeerpolder, Wieringerwerf, also close at hand. The campsiteplaces are divided by green, trees, hegges and bushes. The sanitary is clean and simple, the way it is expected on a small farm. Lovely place to be for lovers of natuur and water who would like to discover the area on foot or by bike.

You will find our cozy restaurant at the Marina Den Oever marina near the beautiful Robbenoord forest. You get the atmospheric view of the IJsselmeer completely free of charge. De Dikke Bries is the ideal location for all your parties and parties, but you can also contact our friendly hosts for a quick cup of coffee. Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 12.30pm. Closed on weekends and during school holidays. In our farm shop we sell organic products from our own land.

De vaarroute tussen Amstelmeer en IJsselmeer gaat langs de Stontelersluis bij gemaal Leemans, door de Den Oeversche vaart langs Slootdorp bij de Slootvaart. Langs de route kan je op verschillende plekken aanmeren, zoals bij de camping Het Bos Roept!, de verschillende opgeknapte steigers, bij het Slootdoperbos of bij het Amstelmeer. Langs de waterkant van de vaarroute staan zes prachtige kunstwerken.
