The patronage building was built in 1906 for the education of the Roman Catholic youth of the adjacent church.

Shrimp fishing and sailing past spoonbills and seals from the harbor of Den Oever with the WR117. Arrival with coffee on board. Cruise through the fishing port of Den Oever and the discharge sluices in the Afsluitdijk. When we leave the harbor, the net is set and we let the guests view the catch in buckets of water, so that everything stays alive. During the return trip, some of the large shrimps are cooked on board. Shrimp can be peeled and tasted. Our deck is partially covered, so this tour can continue even in bad weather.

It is true, it is pounding, it is generous, of gold, small but also large. The Heart of Hippo. Our brand new Bed and Breakfast in the center of Hippolytushoef. The striking farmhouse from 1926 has undergone a major renovation. But the heart was never lost from this authentic bell jar. In the front house we live the host and wife, the back is for the guests. The bell jar has 2 luxurious spacious rooms, each with its own bathroom. The B&B is equipped with a lift for guests with reduced mobility and for heavy luggage.

The Wieringerboerderij was built in 1854. Jan Lont collected all kinds of objects from everyday life. From 1991 the farm can be visited as a museum.

Have a very pleasant stay in one of the two appartements situated in this beautiful Wieringer farm right in the middle of the rural countryside of Wieringen. Wieringen, a former island, now connected to the mainland by the Aflsluitdijk en Amsteldiepdijk lies at the Waddensea and the lakes: Amstelmeer and IJsselmeer. It's only 15 minutes drive to the Nordsea beach. You will find lots of space and possibilties like surfing, sailing, swimming, wad-walking, biking,walking, fishing or sealspotting. In de top van de voorgevel van deze Wieringerboerderij is het bouwjaar 1734 gemetseld. Maar vermoedelijk is de boerderij 17e-eeuws vanwege het historische metselwerk.
