Schagerwad Schagen is approximately 100 hectares in size and almost entirely owned and managed by Staatsbosbeheer. This is the only nature reserve within the municipality of Schagen. Scheepsfolk is a Dutch maritime folk band with its own unique sound. The band regularly performs in many countries during festivals and nautical events and in folk clubs. The enthusiastic crew accompanies themselves with accordion, guitar, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, draw bag, washboard, candrum, kazoo, cajon and double bass. The musical influences come from all over Europe, so Scheepsfolk has developed its own unique style.

At Scheepstuigerij De Schieman we process rope and steel wire into a traditional product and we do a lot of sail makers work. We work for both companies and individuals. We are regularly asked by private individuals to make a cable ring with iguana or widened fenders as a beautiful decorative edge and / or to protect their boat. But we also supply stays, shots and falls, jib nets, play nets, climbing nets or a net like protection at a fishing pond. As a sailmaker, customers regularly hand in tents for repair.
