De rijksmonumentale woning aan de Westfriesedijk is gebouwd in 1840 met een zadeldak en met een houten topgevelbeschieting aan de voorzijde.

The building may date from the 15th century, but was later modified with a three-sided closure and a northern extension. After considerable damage in the village fire of 15 September 1788, the church was restored in 1791-1792. The tower consists of a simple 19th-century tower with an eight-sided spire.

At the harbor of Kolhorn, De Eilanderij is a charming bistro and Winckel is located on the waterfront. Here you can experience the charm of the old fishing village, with honest dishes, local beers, and homemade treats. Warm and welcoming. A place to unwind—with coffee, lunch, dinner, or a good conversation. 🌿

The house is a national monument and the former wooden fish shed has the status of a provincial monument.
