Since 1996, the museum lightship Texel No. 10 has been an absolute eye-catcher in Museum Harbor Willemsoord on the Oude Rijkswerf Willemsoord in Den Helder. What is special is that the now beautifully restored ship is moored a stone's throw from the slipway where she was launched in 1951. After this, the lightship would be a reliable beacon in the sea off the Dutch coast for forty years. It now forms a shining centerpiece of a special museum ships collection. When the spring sun shows itself, the ice fun starts. People of all ages eagerly gather round the display of ice-cream parlour Kaap Hoorn at Willemsoord. It is often a difficult choice between all the wonderful, artisan ice-cream flavours. But it is not just the ice-cream, also our special, rich-flavoured coffees are made with love and passion. Why not have some ice-cream to go with your coffee, instead of a cookie?

For many years we have been running our restaurant Golden Bridge with great pleasure. Quality, good food and good service are important to us. The menu consists more than 50 different small dishes. Delicious snacks from Chinese-Cantonese and Japanese cuisine, prepared from poultry, meat, fish and various vegetables. Steamed, grilled or fried.
