De Houtzolder is a cozy traditional brown café located on the harbor of Den Oever. The cafe is located in an attic that was previously used as a wood storage. The café has a large outdoor terrace that offers a unique view of the harbor and the Wadden Sea. De Houtzolder is happy to let you taste various (regional) products, they are an official tasting room of the Texel Brewery. With more than 25 types of beer and different traditional jenevers, corn wines, bitters and liqueurs, this is a café for true gourmets.

Seal Tour SWRW

A 2,5 hour tour that begins in harbor of Den Oever (Oostkade) and goes along the sluice at the beginning of the Dam, then along to the tidal banks where different species of birds are foraging and resting. After about half an hour we reach the seals. You can admire them in their natural setting.

Early 12th-century church of tuff with crypt. Organ built by Teschemacher in 1762. Changing exhibitions and concerts; tower climbing with a magnificent view over the Wadden Sea and Wieringen. In the Michaëls church in Oosterland are changing exhibitions which you can visit. In the church are paintings and in the crypt of the church you will find visual work.
