At the foot of the Afsluitdijk in Den Oever, you can enjoy the tastiest fish at Vis van Havenzicht with the most expansive view of the fishing port and the Wadden Sea and the ships that pass between the Wadden Sea and the IJsselmeer. Son Jan and his wife Ingrid have continued Studio Blank since 2020 and breathe new life into it. They are showing the permanent collection of works by Hans Blank, who was not only a sculptor, but also a painter. In addition they are showing the works of Marijke Blank-Van Wijk and various other artists outside in the gallery.

You can discover our beautiful municipality by bicycle via the bicycle route. The route takes you about 30 kilometers through beautiful nature and past old stately houses, churches, farms and locks. Along the way you will pass, in addition to the many religious buildings, also numerous historic buildings that, together with the other monuments, make our municipality a picture. At Oostkade in the harbor of Den Oever you will find a campersite. Toilet building after payment to the harbor master to use code of the door.
