Just outside Schagen, in rural and hospitable West Friesland, in the middle of the meadow, lies the recreational park Burghorn. With indoor outdoor pool, children's pool, large playground and an animation team in the North holidays. At 8 km from Burghorn Recreation Park lies the beautiful North Sea beach.

For water sports tourists who like to stay in a good and modernly-equipped location, Schagen Recreation Port is definitely worth a visit. The port is about 500 meters away from the city center and the facilities are modern and optimal. Approximately 40 berths are available for the direct adjoining quays. In the harbor itself are floating scaffolding with about 100 berths for our berths and passers.

For pizza and pasta lovers, Donna Rosa has been the trusted address in the heart of Schagen for 35 years.

The pleasant Schagen is ideal for a walk. In the town you will encounter numerous historic buildings, but also the rebuilt Schagen Castle.

The Regional Museum offers newspapers, photographs, uniforms and equipment will show you a vieuw of the second world war in Northern Holland and West Friesland.

Schagerwad Schagen is approximately 100 hectares in size and almost entirely owned and managed by Staatsbosbeheer. This is the only nature reserve within the municipality of Schagen. There is a reed field of around 35 ha in the area, which is mowed every spring. The rest of the area is a small-scale polder landscape with a relatively high water level.

Café Spoorzicht on the Nieuwe Laagzijde is a brown pub where everyone - from young to old - will find a good time.

The Traphoeve is a beautifully restored monumental North Holland farmstead. The farmhouse is completely surrounded by the monumental West Frisian embankment, at a unique location and consists of two farmhouses.
