On the occasion of the company’s 50th anniversary in February 1996, the former residence of the Spaansen family has been turned into a museum. Be informed and inspired by an extensive photo collection and countless utensils that connect the past, present and future of Spanish people as a respectable family business. Hostess Ada van der Wal – Spaansen: “The museum can only be visited by appointment or on open days. I am usually present myself to show people around and answer questions. It is astonishing that the museum still continues to attract visitors. Often there are even groups. People don’t expect to see that much. Every photo and every object has its own story. I am proud to be able to tell these stories.”

De Dikke Paal
De grenspaal gaf aan waar de onderhoudsverplichtingen met betrekking tot de Westfriese zeedijk lagen. Op de paal staan de wapens van de waterschappen waarbij al van oudsher de dijkvakken onder Winkel in onderhoud waren. Hier eindigde het deel van de dijk dat in onderhoud was bij de Vier Noorder Koggen en begon het stuk dat in 1339 was toebedeeld aan Drechterland. Deze paal is de vervanger van het in de hongerwinter van 1944 opgestookte exemplaar, herplaatst in 1991 op initiatief van Stichting Historisch Niedorp.

Golfbaan Regthuys
In the village Winkel, central to the head of North Holland, on the provincial road N242 and near the A7 and A9, is the Golf + Country Regthuys located. In 2006 the first 9 short holes and driving range were opened. In 2007 the first 9 long holes were opened disigned by Course and landscape architect Alan Rijks. Regthuys is therefore a full 18 hole par 71 golf course with the first 6 section of the Netherlands.
