De Wieringer bookshop: The aim was (and is) to give the islanders, but also passers-by, the feeling that they have missed something when they have not been inside. Every visit to the bookstore should be a party. We think we have succeeded in that aim. Everyone, young and old, can look around uninhibitedly, browse and enjoy what each book entails. The atmosphere is pleasant and homely. Feel free to sit down in one of the chairs and read the first chapter of the book that you will be taking home with you.

In the beautiful town of Hippolytushoef in North Holland you will find a food and snack corner: the Smulhoek. Hippolytushoef is surrounded by walking and cycling routes that take you through the history of the former island of Wieringen. De Smulhoek is an attractive restaurant with a beautiful sunny terrace. The mill was built in 1851 as a corn and hulling mill. The voluntary millers keep the mill running regularly.

Visit this beautiful garden in the Top of North-holland. Every season show its colors and you can make an appointment for a tour. During the summer there are open garden days of Top in de Kop.

Behind the dike, directly on the Wadden Sea, you'll find Restaurant Bij Ons Thuys at the Recreation Park.
