This means that we use the Albert Heijn formula, but are otherwise independent. In 1970 we started as a small Sparwinkel and after 10 years switched to the Albert Heijn formula. You can come to us for all your daily shopping, and we are also a collection and delivery point for DHL and Bol.com. You can also pick up your prescription refills from us. In the centre of Den Helder, you will find a magnificent collection of colorful tropical plants. It's the largest Japanese garden in the Netherlands with running water.

The department of Den Helder was founded in 1822 and is therefore the oldest existing association of the naval city. For a century and a half it had a pioneering role in education and development. The utility kindergartens, household education, the utility savings bank, these were all initiatives from this local department.

Bar Bonaire is the place where the nights are going further and at day there is space for lunch. We stay to have the same concept but that better and longer. We open at 11:00. You can come in and enjoy a coffee or something from out new menu like fingerfood. In the evening we are as we were before. We are also going to organize more events.

The Helders museum is located in the old music dome of the former lyceum on Timorlaan. Today this dome is also known as the Paviljoen van Toen, which borders the Timor Park in Den Helder. In addition to changing exhibitions, the museum also has various artefacts on display, each of which tells a specific story about the rich history of the city of Den Helder. Since 1996, the museum lightship Texel No. 10 has been an absolute eye-catcher in Museum Harbor Willemsoord on the Oude Rijkswerf Willemsoord in Den Helder. What is special is that the now beautifully restored ship is moored a stone's throw from the slipway where she was launched in 1951. After this, the lightship would be a reliable beacon in the sea off the Dutch coast for forty years. It now forms a shining centerpiece of a special museum ships collection.
