The Y8122 Foundation maintains two unique tugboats: the steam tug Y8122 and the diesel tug Dombo. Thanks to a dedicated team of volunteers, these vessels have been fully restored and are ready to sail.
Experience a day on the water
Tugboat Dombo offers half-day or full-day trips. Half-day trips last four hours and sail towards Texel or the Wadden Sea. If you choose a full-day trip (6–8 hours), you decide the route together. There is room for a maximum of 12 passengers in addition to the crew.
Boat tour through the harbor and Marsdiep
During the summer season, Dombo offers a cruise two afternoons a week. Boarding begins at 1:00 PM at Flaneerkade. The tour lasts until 3:30 PM and passes the inner harbor, sea lock, and outer harbor. Sometimes, the Marsdiep canal is also included.
Safe and special for young and old
