These dunes are formed from the remains of the old Wadden island Huisduinen. South of this are the Donkere Duinen. These originated from the small Wadden island of Ooghduinen. The gap between the two islands closed in the 16th century. The Harmplas dune lake is now located here.

In the middle of the Duinpark and in the heart of Nieuw Den Helder, close to the dunes, the forest and the beach, you will find this hidden gem. This B&B has its own entrance via the terrace, and a beautiful view of the water. The basement was converted into a guest apartment for 2 people in 2019, with a luxury bathroom and a kitchenette.

Behind the beautiful nature area and recreational forest de Donkere Duinen, you find beach Donkere Duinen, also known by the people as entrance ''Hengstepad''. The beach Donkere Duinen is only accessible on foot or on bike. The advantage you have is that you can enjoy a beautiful and mostly quiet family beach. And ofcourse when you go to this beach, you have a great walk or bicycle tour ahead of you.

Wij hebben een geweldig team van mensen die je gaan begeleiden op en rond de akker met de dagelijkse werkzaamheden. Een ieder van ons zorgt voor een productieve dag met een vrolijke noot. De buitenlucht doet de rest want slapen doe je op z’n best na een dagje akker. Moe en voldaan!
