The Helders museum is located in the old music dome of the former lyceum on Timorlaan. Today this dome is also known as the Paviljoen van Toen, which borders the Timor Park in Den Helder. In addition to changing exhibitions, the museum also has various artefacts on display, each of which tells a specific story about the rich history of the city of Den Helder. The Julianadorp Vooruit Cultural Association was established in 1958. This association was founded at the time with the aim of organizing various activities with a cultural dimension for the residents of Julianadorp and thereby bringing a lot of entertainment and fun to the village. The activities that are on the agenda nowadays cover a wider area including, for example, sporting festivities. An active club of volunteers ensures that the festivities take place every year.

The double bedroom is located on the 1st floor. There is access to the balcony. Use of a sitting room with extra bed for a third person of the family. In the living room a TV, fridge, coffee machine, kettle. The shower is on the 1st floor, toilet on the ground floor exclusively for the guests. Internet is possible. In October, November and December, no overnight stays.

The boats of the Wadvissersgilde will take you to the most beautiful places of the Wadden Sea, which you can’t see from the dyke. You will be visiting the Wieringer grounds and will be told about this special area. During the trip, the seabed will be trawled and the marine life hoisted onboard to uncover what hides beneath. From crawly crabs to glassy shrimps, you will have the opportunity to admire these sea animals from up close.

De Wieringer bookshop: The aim was (and is) to give the islanders, but also passers-by, the feeling that they have missed something when they have not been inside. Every visit to the bookstore should be a party. We think we have succeeded in that aim. Everyone, young and old, can look around uninhibitedly, browse and enjoy what each book entails. The atmosphere is pleasant and homely. Feel free to sit down in one of the chairs and read the first chapter of the book that you will be taking home with you.

At Theetuin Dapper you can stop for coffee, tea, lemonade, ice cream, homemade ice tea and cake. You can also book a high tea among the ponies.

The foundation offers the tiger workshops to make people aware of the precarious situation of these animals in the wild and in captivity. The proceeds of the workshop all go towards the realisation of the foundation’s objectives.
