Kitesurfing in Petten? At Petten Kitesurfschool you have come to the right place! Kitesurfing is a spectacular water sport that can be learned quickly. The sport is versatile, you can just sail back and forth, but also make insanely high jumps and perform all kinds of tricks in the air. Petten aan zee is a great location to learn kitesurfing. With its wide and uncrowded beaches, there is plenty of room to learn kiting safely. Then out to sea. Although a bit more challenging than inland water, it is a lot cooler, especially if you surf your first wave.

In january of 2018, the new children's farm at Noorderhaven opened its doors. The farm consists of 4 animal quarters voor small cattle, goats, pigs and donkeys. The deer camp has space for 5 deers and in the horse field stay Fjorden and Tinkers. The farm is a place where it's fun to work at and spend time. The residents of Noorderhaven feed the animals and clean their enclosures.

This group activities is suitable for children and adults. A active and fun way to explore the former Wieringer lake, now a polder. You can hike different distances; 5 km, 9,5 km, or 13 km. Enjoy the landscape with its dykes, lakes, large field, and winding roads.

Besides the farm shop selling their own and local produce, By Broersen also has a pick-your-own garden where visitors can pick their own fruit. What can you pick? Fruit (red, white, black, blueberries, gooseberries, blackberries, and grapes) from the garden, strawberries from the greenhouse, and many varieties of annual and perennial cut flowers.
