The Helderse Fanfare Corps is founded 28th of August 1923 and has 2 departments, the amusement choir and de farmer's chapel 'de Bloaspoepers'

In our cafe (often called a living room) you can still taste the ambiance of days long gone. An old, brown cafe, with two billiards, and old seats and tables where you can play some cards. As a guest, you get swept up in the stories of old. In our family hotel you can unwind, whilst enjoying our comfortable beds, using the Wi-Fi. Or you could get out there and explore the city of Den Helder. The city center is only 500 meters away, and the Old Royal Navy shipyard Willemsoord is even closer by!

Our Café has been around since 1983 and is located in the center of Den Helder. It is a nice and cozy brown cafe where you can have a drink, play a game of pool or enjoy a game of darts. There are also regular live performances by various bands, see our agenda for more info. You can also follow various important football matches on a big screen. Er worden ook regelmatig live optredens gegeven door diverse bands, zie voor meer info onze agenda. Tevens kan men ook diverse belangrijke voetbalwedstrijden volgen op groot scherm. Scheepsfolk is a Dutch maritime folk band with its own unique sound. The band regularly performs in many countries during festivals and nautical events and in folk clubs. The enthusiastic crew accompanies themselves with accordion, guitar, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, draw bag, washboard, candrum, kazoo, cajon and double bass. The musical influences come from all over Europe, so Scheepsfolk has developed its own unique style.

Enjoy all kinds of classic ships, characteristic buildings and maritime craft activities. Visit a very special lightship, take a tour on a classic tugboat or take a day trip on a boat! Good for a wonderful day (or several!) out, especially in combination with the Navy Museum, the National Rescue Museum Dorus Rijkers and the cozy terraces and restaurants!

Canoe rental Den Helder is located at The Helderse Vallei, the center of all canoe routes that Den Helder and Julianadorp are rich in. From here you can see all sides. In addition to the 4 well-defined routes, there are several waterways that are excellent for canoeers and SUPpers (stand up peddeling). We offer single and double canoes and kayaks and triple Canadian canoes. You can also rent longboards and SUP's and we also provide SUP and canoe clinics.
