The Helderse Vallei is the starting point of the 4 well-marked canoe routes that Den Helder has, with various jetties along the way. In addition, Den Helder has various waterways that are easily accessible for canoes. The farmland route (orange route, 12 km) goes right through the bulb fields.

The Helders museum is located in the old music dome of the former lyceum on Timorlaan. Today this dome is also known as the Paviljoen van Toen, which borders the Timor Park in Den Helder. In addition to changing exhibitions, the museum also has various artefacts on display, each of which tells a specific story about the rich history of the city of Den Helder. Den Helder is surrounded by sea, the beach and dunes. A piece of untouched nature alongside immense sand dunes, hidden benches and seagull colonies. In a quiet environment you can rest in our Bed & Breakfast. We are situated near a allotment complex and a nature area. That means no noisy neighbours.

Kinepolis Den Helder opened her doors in building 51 in Willemsoord, the former shipyard and maintenance site for the Royal Navy in 2003. Various details of the Old Rijkswerf were left intact; Two of the halls were newly built against the Shipyard. The cinema has six halls. See the current movie program on the website.
